FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Out of Danger
National Anti-Bullying Media Campaign
Out of Danger - is the nation's most visible and proactive anti-bullying campaign. This campaign is targeted directly at the prevention of bullying and harassment of school age children through age appropriate personal safety training.
Washington, D.C., New York, NY and Miami, FL (November 11, 2010) – Warrior Personal Safety, Inc., Vets-Help.org, Not Me! and Client by Design, LLC join forces to deliver proven safety training programs nationwide for children, the disabled, schools and communities.
People of every age are vulnerable to the risk of bullies. Experts tell us at least 1 in 2 children and teens will be bullied at school, on the walk home or on-line. Statistics indicate more than 160,000 American youth miss school every day due to fear of physical harm. With an alarming number of recent teen suicides attributed to acts of bullying, twelve states and D.C. have now passed measures that explicitly prohibit harassment and acts of violence involving school age children. Three additional states have safe school laws designed to protect students based upon their perceived sexual orientation.
The New York State Assembly's version, called the Dignity for All Students Act, presents a national leadership initiative by going beyond the legislation to mandate specific bully defense training programs in all New York State public and private schools by the beginning of the school year 2012. Even the global Internet, with its potential for positive and friendly social interaction, has been used as a tool for what is now called “cyber-bullying.” The on-line social media world has created bullying opportunities and, the creation of specific laws to address this latest form of bullying behavior.
It is painfully obvious that even with laws in place, educators and parents are in dire need of a preemptive solution to this growing problem of violent and sometimes tragic harassment that can damage and even end young lives.

Founders and Ambassadors Invite Others To Join The Initiative
Kyoshi Steve LaVallee, Founder of The Martial Arts University International and LaVallee's USA Black Belt Champions comments, "the bullying issue is of extreme importance to parents and families involved in our safety training programs. This program is content rich, easy to apply and is in use throughout our training academies in the United States and abroad. We are glad to provide volunteer safety training instructors to area elementary schools in our service areas whenever called."
Mark Cokinos, Vice President of Educational Funding Company comments, "our member schools have utilized these safety training programs for more than 10 years with excellent success. We join Warrior Personal Safety in making this bully defense curriculum available at no cost to every client school we service in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. We hope others will support this critically important child safety initiative."
Program Users Comment On The Out Of Danger Initiative
Heavyweight World Champion martial artist and UFC veteran Grand Master Hanshi Moti Horenstein comments, "We have used the Warrior training programs in South Florida and New York in school and community venues since 2005. These programs incorporate common sense, age appropriate bully defense skills, and are easy to communicate to the children, teachers and parents. Child safety training is critical to America's youth. We believe the Out of Danger program should be a required curriculum in every American school."
Mom and Girl Scout Troop Leader Ann Parkhurst comments, "When I brought my Girl Scout Troop to your seminar I never thought in a million years that one of my girls, especially my own daughter, would face a child abduction. In the few seconds I stepped into my house with groceries my eleven year old was approached by a man who had pulled his car in my driveway and reached for my daughter. Thank God she was aware, presented the personal fence and knew how to escape to the house. Thank you."
New York State Assemblyman Joseph Saladino comments, "Every teaching Institution with families and children should have this program in place to protect their communities! I fully endorse and support Out of Danger and Warrior Personal Safety and its potential benefits."
